On April 10 at 7 p.m., the Mazet Student Life Center is hosting a new Game Conference, exploring post-apocalyptic imaginaries in video games. Apolline Christakis, a video game culture expert affiliated with the École nationale des chartes PSL and the EPHE PSL doctoral school, will immerse us in the world of The Last of Us Part II and analyze its themes of survival, revenge, and redemption.

In this Game Conference, Apolline Christakis will invite us to reflect on the impact of post-apocalyptic universes in video games, through the analysis of The Last of Us Part II. This critically acclaimed game immerses us in a devastated world where revenge and resilience are at the heart of the experience. Our expert will highlight how this complex narrative questions the ethical and social dimensions of an uncertain future, while reflecting on the narrative and cultural issues of the video game medium. A great conference for anyone interested in the art and culture of video games.
