AI Research Engineer at Helsing Company
Émilie Wirbel graduated from Mines Paris in 2011. She then obtained a PhD degree in robotics in 2014 for her work on camera-based localization for humanoid robots, in collaboration with Aldebaran Robotics. She continued her career at automotive supplier Valeo, where she worked until mid-2020 as a software and artificial intelligence engineer, contributing to the development of AI solutions for autonomous vehicles both on the research side and on the development of real prototypes. She then joined Nvidia as senior robotics engineer, focusing on obstacle avoidance perception for wheeled robots, a role she held until mid-2023. Since then, she has been an AI research engineer at Helsing, where she leads a team that develops camera-based perception models.
