The “Light on Women in Science” exhibition invites visitors to discover the journey of women scientists who have left their mark on history through their research and discoveries. This exhibition, presented in two stages – at the Crous, then at the Mazet PSL Center – is intended to be both scientific, artistic and inclusive. It offers an immersion in the world of science through the trajectories of women with varied profiles, from different disciplines and origins.
The main objective? Highlight women in science who are still under-recognized and inspire young girls to embark on scientific careers. By exploring portraits and testimonies, the exhibition sheds light on personalities who opened doors in fields as varied as physics, biology, astronomy and social sciences.
Beyond simply highlighting these pioneers, “Light on Women in Science” aims to make science accessible and attractive for all, thanks to a fun and educational approach. The popularization of complex scientific themes thus makes it possible to reach a wide audience, inviting everyone, whatever their age or background, to discover the richness and diversity of the research carried out by these exceptional women.
This exhibition is also intended to be a means of raising awareness among younger generations of the place occupied by women in science and the importance of their inclusion in all sectors of activity. By promoting multiple paths, “Light on Women in Science” is aimed at both girls and boys, in all their diversity, in order to show that science is a space of opportunity for everyone, without distinction.
Don't miss the closing evening scheduled for January 31, a special moment to exchange and celebrate the contributions of women to scientific advances. Come in large numbers, from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to discover an exhibition that opens a real door to the future of science!
