“Dead Poets Society”
If you have been reading the articles published on this blog, you may be wondering: “Who are these people?”, “Are they getting paid for this?”, “Can I also write some articles?”. If you also had those questions in mind, then you're reading the right article to find answers to those and more.
Let me start by presenting us: THE VOLUNTEER STUDENT AMBASSADORS – who are there to help you with several topics. Our job is mainly answering questions coming from prospective students. We do it by sharing our experiences with them about studies, campus life, life in Paris, etc. We can also assist them with how to find the needed information on the PSL website.
If you are interested in studying at PSL, you can check out our web page to chat with the ambassadors (you can read about them there). It is important to keep in mind that we aren’t on the admission committee or staff of PSL, therefore we don’t review your CV, motivation letter, or the recipe you should use to make amazing croissants - though that topic certainly merits attention.
do not even hesitate a bit to send us an email at ambassadeurs@psl.eu
Then you’ll meet THE COORDINATORS for a small exchange. After joining to team as volunteers last year, starting this September of the current academic year Jade, Charlotte, and myself, we decided to apply as coordinators. Our applications were examined by a team at PSL, and then we got this student job.
On top of being coordinators, we are also ambassadors and of course students. We are mainly working with the PSL admissions team and that’s why we have regular discussions with them to discuss our activities and have all the up-to-date information about admissions procedure to reply to questions from prospective students accurately on the specific chat platform “Unibuddy”(yes, we don’t chat on Instagram).
Now let’s talk about the project that we are so excited to share: the blog – PSL Voices. This project was launched after a looooong time of thinking and planning. This project is a result of teamwork with the PSL admissions team, ambassadors, and coordinators. The goal of this blog is to create a platform where all the students from different PSL schools, can share their stories which might be helpful for other students.
Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh face at the university, this project is designed with you in mind. That’s why our motto is “by students, for students”. Even though all the articles up to now were written by the coordinators and ambassadors, you are more than welcome to be an author. Don’t you worry, although it is voluntary your contribution will be awarded with surprise gifts.
As you can see, we are a hardworking group of students who are motivated to participate actively in campus life and share our advice and experiences with others. This is our voice, let yours also be heard!
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact one of us (or all): ambassadeurs@psl.eu
