ArkheoPSL
A group of PSL students seeks to boost Parisian student collaboration around cross-period archaeological themes.
The idea of creating a PSL Club dedicated to archeology came from the observation of the critical lack of communication within Parisian university institutions between archeology students.
The aim is to highlight archaeological practice in Paris, from large-scale communication of technical information (advice for finding excavation sites or conferences) to group trips to conferences/museums/exhibitions/visits. of sites, through the projection of films concerning archeology (documentaries, peplums, etc.) but also the organization of round tables and the management of projects, a certain number of which are known (study of the Mercier collection, of the Rataud collection, participation at the JNA 2017…) but would benefit from extending to a larger student community, and where others remain to be considered for the future (9th edition of the JNA and UISPP Congress in Paris in June 2018, Gournay/ project Rounded, etc.).
Among the PSL clubs and associations aiming to expand the field of knowledge in specialized and transdisciplinary fields:
the Cog'Innov association which offers you resources, events and projects around the practice of cognitive sciences,
the INDIAS association creates thematic weeks, conference cycles, film screenings, workshops or performances to introduce Indian culture,
the Périophtalme association, which explores the relationship between humans and the oceans to raise interdisciplinary public awareness of the protection of marine environments.
...and many other initiatives!
