2022 Times Higher Education rankings: PSL among the 50 world's best for the fourth year in a row
PSL is ranked #40 in the Times Higher Education rankings. Up 6 places from 2021, it remains in the world's top 50 and among the top 10 European universities. PSL thus retains its position as the leading French university.
The Times Higher Education (THE) released on September 2, 2021 its annual ranking of world universities (). The ranking includes over 1600 institutions in 99 countries. It is based on a survey and a set of data divided into 5 categories: teaching, research, citations, links with businesses, and international.
Ranked #40, PSL is the leading French university in the ranking and remains in the select circle of the world's top 50 universities for the fourth year in a row. This result is consistent with similar international university rankings published this year: QS, ARWU (Shanghai) and CWUR (see below).
PSL is ranked nex to renowned European and international institutions such as the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, with which it is tied for 40th place, the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and McGill University (Canada). Up six places from the 2021 ranking, PSL stands out for the quality of its teaching (ranked #31 worldwide), its research (#44), and its relations with the businessess (industry income: #132).
