About Covid-19: health situation on January 18, 2021
The Covid-19 health crisis has strongly impacted the lives of students and all our communities, both academics and staff. Since the lockdown was imposed on October 30th, ²ÝÁñÂÛ̳ reacted and communicated its concerns to the French government, asking for an early resumption of in-person teaching. This request was partially accepted. As the in-person teaching is very gradually resuming, this page gathers information on the main support procedures available at PSL and provides an overview of the situation. It will be updated regularly.
Assessment on January 18, 2021:
Since October 30, 2020, universities are no longer allowed to host students, except for certain practical work courses. Aware of the impact of this situation on student and professional lives, , including ²ÝÁñÂÛ̳, joined the Udice organization and launched an request to the government at the end of November to allow the early reopening of the universities. The meeting held on January 15, 2021 with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and representatives of the main university authorities, in which PSL President Alain Fuchs participated, was an opportunity for the head of the institutions to express to Jean Castex their deep concern regarding the risks for students, in their mental and physical health as well as academic success. The objective is to prepare the start of the second semester and to request the return of as many students as possible to the classroom, not only the freshmen who represent the priority target. The message has been heard, and soon a memorandum should define the policies regarding higher education. Further information about it.
The University's services
Until the in-person teachings and campus life fully resume, PSL's academic and administrative teams remain dedicated to ensuring education and to support the community members in difficult situations. Here is an overview of the main services offered:
PCR testing campaign
Since October 14, 2020, thanks to the dedication of the logistic services and Covid referents in our schools, hundreds of students, staff members of the component and partner schools have performed a PCR test. These tests are free, anonymous and not mandatory. They allow us to ensure the resumption of some courses and activities in the classroom. The tests are available at least two days a week, between 2 p.m and 5 p.m. on two different campus locations.
To enroll, you should fill out the following form.

Emergency support fund
To address the growing precariousness of students due to the health crisis of 2020, ²ÝÁñÂÛ̳ has established an emergency support fund designed to allocate financial aid on the digital and social needs. Nearly 500 grants, worth nearly €150,000, have been awarded to students from 13 different schools. A new campaign will be opened soon.
