Call for applications for research visits to University College London (UCL)
As part of their partnership, PSL University and University College London launch an annual call for applications for research stays at the partner institution. Since 2024, the partnership has been strengthened by a tripartite agreement signed on February 29 between PSL, UCL and the French Embassy in the UK.

The call is open to all disciplines, and two PhD students from PSL University will be selected for stays of 4 to 8 weeks.A similar call is open to UCL PhD students for research stays at PSL.
- The stay will last between 4 and 8 weeks, taking place between September and mid-December, 2025.
- All PhD students enrolled at ²ÝÁñÂÛ̳ are eligible.
- Applicants must contact the laboratory of his/her choice at UCL to ensure that it is ready to welcome him/her and integrate him/her into its structure for the entire duration of his/her stay (see application form to be completed).
Funding :
Accommodation costs for the duration of the stay will be covered by PSL through a grant of up to 600 euros per week maximum. A return train ticket from Paris to London will also be covered.
Important information :
- Once the research stay dates have been confirmed with UCL, they cannot be changed.
- UK entry arrangements post Brexit:
- since October 1, 2021, passports have become compulsory to enter the UK. Stays of less than 6 months will not require a visa.
- Applicants must check current travel conditions between France and the UK before making travel arrangements. .
- Candidates must have health insurance that complies with the UK's post-Brexit regulations, as well as civil liability coverage for the duration of their stay.

Applicants must complete before May 16, 2025, 6pm.
Selection criteria :
- Quality of the proposed project
- Relevance of the project to cooperation between PSL and UCL
- Coherence of the research stay with the candidate's PhD program
- Existing links with the partner institution and any previous collaboration
- Proficiency in English
The selection panel will include representatives from PSL and UCL. Results will be announced in early June 2025.
