The President of the Board of Directors:
- Prepares the Foundation’s strategy and oversees its implementation;
- Presides over meetings of the Board of Directors, oversees the preparations and ensures that the Board’s deliberations are carried out;
- Represents the Foundation before third parties as well as in court proceedings and all public proceedings;
- Enters into contracts and agreements;
- Has authority over all Foundation personnel;
- Recognizes revenue and settles expenditures.
The position requires high-level professional experience and expertise in:
- The exercise of management responsibilities for an institute of higher education or foundation;
- Management and operational administration of projects;
- Change management.
In addition, it requires:
- A thorough familiarity with the worlds of research, higher education and innovation, in France and worldwide;
- A thorough familiarity with the worlds of business and research & development, in France and worldwide;
- A sense of organization, consensus and innovation;
- The ability to adapt quickly and easily;
- Excellent communication and listening skills and powers of expression.
The successful candidate for the position will need to have extensive experience in similar environments.
