Call for applications: Research Internships at University College London (UCL)
As part of the strategic partnership between UCL and PSL, a new application call has been launched for PSL doctoral students wishing to spend short-term research internships at UCL.
Preferred fields of study:
Applications are invited from doctoral students in all fields, but the following disciplines are particularly welcome: Chemistry, Neurosciences, History, Human and Social Sciences, and Arts.
A smilar call is launched for UCL doctoral students who seek a research internship at PSL.
Conditions:
- The duration of the internship will vary between 4 and 8 weeks; the internship will end, at the latest, on November 30, 2022
- Successful candidates must contact a UCL laboratory of their choice to ensure that they can be integrated within its structure for the whole duration of their stay (please read the application form)
Defrayal:
UCL will arrange accommodation for doctoral students. PSL will pay the accommodation fees for the whole stay.
PSL also covers the cost of the journey between Paris & London and return trip.
Please note:
- Once internship dates have been confirmed by UCL, they cannot be altered
- Policies to enter the United Kingdom after Brexit:
- Since October 1, 2021, passport is required to enter the country. Visa is not required for stays shorter than 6 months.
- Applicants have to check the immigration regulations between France and the United Kingdom before travelling.
- Applicants must have a health insurance policy, in accordance with the new British provisions related to the Brexit, as well as a civil insurance policy for the duration of their stay.

Selection criteria:
- Quality of the project submitted
- Relevance of the project considering the cooperation between PSL & UCL
- Consistency between the desired internship and the applicant's doctoral curriculum
- Existing links with the partner and possible former collaborations
Command of English
The jury will include four representatives from PSL's International Relations and Research departments and will be supplemented by the advisory opinion of a representative from UCL. Up to two doctoral candidates will be selected. Two applicants will be on the waiting list in case of withdrawal.
Results will be released on May 3, 2022 at the latest.
