Call for proposals for PSL-Columbia projects
The partnership between PSL and Columbia University has led to several collaborations on a variety of projects and exchanges, including research, seminars, and conferences in both Paris and New York, and short-term faculty visits. This call for proposals is focused on the fields of human and social sciences.
PSL and the Office of the Dean of Arts & Sciences in the Division of Humanities at Columbia University Humanities faculty seek proposals from faculty at PSL and Columbia to further the collaboration between both institutions. We welcome proposals for events such as seminars and conferences, faculty travel (from Paris to NYC and from NYC to Paris) for collaborative research, or other joint projects which bring together a diverse group of scholars.
Projects may receive up to $20,000 EUR / USD in total.
Applications are due by Monday, December 18th, 2017. Results will be communicated in early February
Both institutions must receive one copy of the proposal.
Applications must include the following:
• Proposal narrative of no more than three pages describing the project. Please explain the goals of the collaboration and the practical logistics of how, where, and when they will be achieved.
• Completed Proposal Form (downloadable on this page).
• CVs of organizing faculty members (from Columbia and PSL).
