The (France And Chicago Collaborating in The Sciences) offers seed funding grants totaling up to $340,000 to support new and developing research conducted jointly by UChicago scientists (in PSD, BSD, PME, Fermilab) and teams of scientists in France—and that show promise of leading toward fruitful, impactful, and sustainable collaboration. Awards typically range from $20,000 to $30,000 for 2-year projects, and from $10,000 to $15,000 for single-year collaborations.
The deadline for applications this cycle is February 4, 2025.
As part of an MOU between PSL and the University of Chicago, up to two successful applicants will be funded jointly by their respective institutions. If you are interested in applying, we warmly invite you to contact your potential research partner in Chicago.
For questions about the award or the application process, please contact Daniel Bertsche at fcc@uchicago.edu or the international office of PSL at relations.internationales@psl.eu.
