The Secret Ingredient: a collective project to make you feel at home at ̳
Who hasn't travelled to the memory of an image or a smell? Or felt homesick at the memory of a favorite food? Drawing on this universal experience, the PSL Welcome Desk team has launched the “Secret Ingredient” project, with the support of the Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus (CVEC). The idea is to bring together day-to-day elements that remind everyone of home, through dishes, ingredients or culinary locations in Paris.
Over the months, the students, along with other participants, shared their recommendations: the dish or restaurant that gives them that sense of comfort, belonging and familiarity. A graphic artist, Antoine Suignard, was invited to illustrate these culinary memories and associated testimonials. The result was a booklet distributed in the 250 Welcome Packs distributed to new arrivals. Each participant in the project also received as a souvenir a copy.
On October 4, during the Garden Party, this booklet was unveiled in the form of a poster exhibition, enabling participants to discover each other's contributions in a convivial atmosphere. The students present were able to get together, exchange their thoughts and pick up their illustrated copy.
Congratulations to all those who contributed to this collective initiative. If you are interested in participating in our future projects, please contact us: welcomedesk@psl.eu. You can also download the digital version of the booklet here.
