Shanghai Rankings 2022: ̳ 40th worldwide
This year, PSL University has consolidated its position in the top 50 of the three major international rankings (ARWU, THE, QS).
After being ranked #26 by the Times Higher Education this year (up 18 places), ̳ is once again in the very competitive group of the world's top 50 universities, which includes 0.25% of the world's 20,000 higher education and research institutions (EUA estimate). For the record, in 2021 PSL ranked #33 in the ARTU ranking, which combines the three main international rankings (ARWU, QS, THE).
The Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU, known as the Shanghai ranking) ranks 1,000 higher education and research institutions among the 20,000 worldwide (EUA estimate). It is based on 6 weighted criteria: the number of Nobel Prize laureates & Fields Medal recepients among alumni, the number of Nobel Prize & Fields Medal-winning professors, the number of highly cited researchers, the number of articles published in Nature and Science, the number of articles indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Science Citation Index as well as the academic performance of the professors (assessed by dividing the 5 aforementioned indicators by the number of tenured professors).
