Student elections for the solidarity and development fund for student initiatives (FSDIE) of PSL University

Le

The board of directors of PSL University approved, in its March 2023 meeting, the creation of a solidarity and development fund for student initiatives (FSDIE) specific to PSL University. Funded by the CVEC, it aims to encourage the development of campus initiatives by and for students and to enable the deployment of direct emergency social assistance for students in training courses supported collectively by the PSL establishments.

Fonds de solidarité et de développement des initiatives étudiantes

The FSDIE is an own fund of the University PSL Grand establishment. It is intended to finance a selection of projects carried out by student associations from the university's first common cycle: (Multidisciplinary cycle of higher studies (CPES), Sciences for a sustainable world (SMD) and Preparatory class for Professorship of Schools (CPPE)) and the Student-Entrepreneur Diploma (D2E).  It is thus distinct from the FSDIE implemented within PSL component establishments. A part of this fund is also allocated to social assistance for students in difficulty. The FDSIE budget is validated by the board of directors of PSL University.

The use of the FDSIE is subject to consultation of dedicated commissions. In addition to a plenary commission responsible for drawing up a retro-planning for the academic year as well as an assessment of the actions financed, the FSDIE is administered by two thematic sub-committees:

The “Student Initiatives” commission is responsible for studying the projects submitted by the university's student associations and proposing an allocation of funding (culture, sport, citizenship and solidarity, health and prevention, disability, ecological transition and sustainable development, external events ) ;
The social assistance commission is responsible for processing requests for emergency social assistance and formulating financing proposals for students who find themselves facing material difficulties. The amounts awarded individually range from €200 to €1000.

In accordance with the circular of March 23, 2022, these commissions are composed equally of representatives of the administration and elected representatives of students.
