Three new start-ups supported by PSL-Valorisation

Le

In the first quarter of 2017, PSL-Valorisation participated in the creation of 3 new start-ups generated by ENS and ESPCI Paris laboratories:

Cyprio, from the ESPCI/CNRS “Chemistry Biology Innovation” Joint Research Unit at ESPCI, will take advantage of disruptive technologies for cell culture and sequencing. It will market miniaturized micro-tissues encapsulated in alginate capsules, as well as high-throughput screening for medication discovery and development applications.

iSpheres, also from the ESPCI/CNRS “Chemistry Biology Innovation” Joint Research Unit at ESPCI, will market microparticles obtained via microfluidic processes for applications in the field of biotechnologies, for use in medical diagnostics, vectorization of active products, or inspection and calibration of biological analysis mechanisms.

Twinkle, from the PASTEUR Laboratory (UMR 8640, ENS, CNRS, UPMC), will use a new family of fluorescent proteins along with innovative technologies for cellular and biomolecular imaging, as well as for genome editing, tracking GMOs, and fluorescence-based screening.

PSL is proud to be a partner and shareholder in these 3 promising start-ups; it has handed over exclusive use of the patents generated by its laboratories in their respective fields and will support them in their future development.
