The United Kingdom has introduced a new “High Potential Individual” work visa for young professionals trained at the world's best universities.
The selection of these 37 universities is based on international rankings: to be eligible, the applicant must hold a degree from a university ranked in the top 50 of at least two of the world university rankings (Times Higher Education, Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings or the Academic Ranking of World Universities) in the year of their graduation. The visa is for a period of two years for holders of a Bachelor's or Master's degree, and three years for PhDs.
