During the Women’s Entrepreneurship Awareness week (semaine de sensibilisation à l'entrepreneuriat féminin), which will take place on March 5th-16th, ²ÝÁñÂÛ̳ would like to invite you to meet student-entrepreneurs who have launched their start-ups accompanied by the PSL-Pépite program. Today, Sarah Belfer talks about her start-up, which specializes in leather accessories.

PSL: At what age did you decide that you wanted to become an entrepreneur?

S.B: At 21 years old.

PSL: What were your motivations?

S.B: I have a design background. I used to mount projects, which stopped at the prototype stage. I decided to take a project further than the prototyping stage, which allowed me to explore the world of business.

PSL: What personal fulfillment do you find in the management of your project?

S.B: I gained confidence in myself, thanks to this project; I have more facilities to talk about my work, to exchange, to make my opinion heard.

PSL: What qualities do you think are essential for this undertaking?

S.B: It seems to me it’s essential to be passionate and very motivated by your project. You also need to be patient and listen to the advice from others.

PSL: What is your biggest achievement?

S.B: My greatest achievement has been the ability to surround myself with a small community that supports and helps me to carry out the project.

PSL: What was the hardest step?

S.B: The hardest step, for me, was to find providers who were able to ensure the production of my accessories and deliver, all while meeting deadlines (for example).

PSL: What is your little trick to boost your daily life?

S.B: I play sports!

PSL: What message do you want to send to young entrepreneurs?

S.B: My advice is for them to go for it, while being open-minded – You must know how to take the advice that is given to you and accept help.
