The Paris Fashion School by PSL,  l’Ecole Nationale de Mode et Matière (EnaMoMa), born out of close collaboration between three PSL institutions, will open its competitive entrance exams from March 24 - May 24, 2017 for its Master’s program open to students with Bachelor’s degrees (Bac+3, 180 credits or international equivalent) in fashion design.

Initiated by EnsAD in partnership with MINES ParisTech for engineering and Université Paris-Dauphine for strategy, management and marketing, this cross-disciplinary program bringing together designers, engineers and managers falls directly in line with PSL’s teaching innovations.

“The Paris Fashion School is emblematic of the significantly formative forces at work within PSL. By bringing together the worlds of fashion, engineering and marketing, our schools have perfectly illustrated the principle of cross-pollination that guides and inspires us. Breaking down barriers between disciplines, experimenting with new approaches to teaching, opening the door to innovative, cross-disciplinary projects that are particularly attractive to French and international students--this is what we do. We are very proud of the success of this collective endeavor and commend the strong sense of team spirit that has been its driving force,” exclaims Thierry Coulhon, President of PSL.

The Paris Fashion School draws primarily from two of EnsAD’s areas of specialized expertise, “Apparel Design” and “Textiles and Materials Design” (40 ECTS), while also incorporating additional subsets of the decorative arts such as set design, photography and film, graphic design, object design, printed pictures, animation, art and space, and interior design. Courses in strategy and marketing are also offered (8 ECTS). “Today’s young designers must gain mastery of the marketing and business administration tools provided to them by textile incubators, to help bring their entrepreneurship plans to fruition and launch their brands. We must be here to guide them and train them in these prerequisites,” shares Denis Darpy, Professor at Université Paris-Dauphine and Director of the Master’s department.
