Three projects have been selected by the European Research Council (ERC) following the ERC Proof of Concepts grants call. They will each receive funding of €150,000 over 18 months to test the potential applications of their discoveries.

ERC Proof of Concepts grants are awarded by the European Research Council to recipients to explore the innovative potential of their scientific discoveries. After , two researchers from Institut Curie and a researcher from ESPCI Paris are winners this year.

  • Costantino Creton, research director at CNRS in the SIMM laboratory and Dean of research at for the . The project studies materials close to rupture, using molecular markers and non-invasive optical imaging techniques.
  • Yohanns Bellaïche, leader of the team Polarity, Division and Morphogenesis at . Based on a , the ERC POC 2020 O-NEAT project will develop another program that can learn to recognize other interesting biological phenomena.
  • Jean-Louis Viovy, research director emeritus at CNRS Laboratoire Physico-Chimie of (UMR 168 CNRS / Institut Curie). He and will now develop the process with the ERC-POC ERC-POC COMMiT project, supported partly by the microfluidics service of the
