PSL is #1 university worldwide in THE Young University Rankings 2022
̳ climbed #1 in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings. It is the first time a French university leads the YUR.
Says Alain Fuchs, President of ̳: “It is interesting, especially as it is counter-intuitive for many, to note that in this ranking, continental Europe - and particularly France – accounts for the majority alongside Asia among the first places. This is an undeniable sign of an extremely positive dynamic. By taking the lead in this ranking, PSL has confirmed its status as a truly international university. By this, I mean it meets a set of criteria that are valid worldwide: PSL is a research-intensive university. It covers a wide range of disciplines and brings together science, human and social science, engineering and the arts. From the undergraduate to the doctoral level, it trains students from around the world who are chosen for their talent, and defends academic freedom. All of our schools recognise themselves in this model and, through PSL, have a greater international influence. This result is the reward for the considerable efforts we have made over the past ten years. For our students, it is a valuable passport for their future careers. My sincere thanks to all our communities!”
The annual ranking of the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger (THE Young Universities Ranling) covers over 500 institutions and is based on 13 performance indicators.
